Overseas Releases

Harlequin Espana

Harlequin Espana

I don’t know whether an author ever becomes used to seeing her books translated into other languages, but for me, it’s still a huge thrill. These two are the latest.

Out now in Spain is Un Futuro Brilliante, a translation of The Single Dad’s Patchwork Family.

And in Germany, it’s Klopf Nicht So Laut, Mein Herz, which is a translation of Best Friend…Future Wife.

Boys of Summer

I’ve just heard that my hero, Chase Mattner, is one of the Top 10 Boys of Summer over on eHarlequin.  Considering how many ‘boys’ there are to choose from, I think he’s done very well.

Cataromance Review for The Single Dad’s Patchwork Family

Hello! This blog has taken the place of my website’s News page. I still have work to do on this page to make the place feel like home, but for now here’s my first news item:

I was thrilled this morning to find this lovely review at Cataromance:

A rich and powerful story of two people grasping a chance at happiness with each other after so many years of loneliness.

Chase Mattner is a single father raising his daughter in a tranquil environment, where life is simple and uncomplicated. He never expects to meet a woman who makes him question whether he’s lonely until he unexpectedly meets Regan, a mother of two young sons trying to run her family business. Both of them aren’t looking for distractions in their life but it seems that fate isn’t listening because now they must decide whether taking a chance on love is worth all the hassle. Or is this second chance just too much of a gamble?

The Single Dad’s Patchwork Family by Claire Baxter is a rich and powerful story of two people grasping a chance at happiness with each other after so many years of loneliness. I fell in love with all of the characters in this book because of their deep honest emotions. Regan, for her courage and tenacity to hold herself together in a crisis, even if it felt that she was sacrificing happiness for the good of her children. And Chase, because he realized that closing himself off from people wasn’t helping him or his daughter. This whole book captivated me from start to finish, the story was prolific with descriptive scenery, so much so that I could almost imagine myself being there with them. Kudos to Ms. Baxter for penning yet another fantastic romantic story where the characters seem like family and the readers’ imagination takes flight into fantasy.
